Several years ago someone I loved very much described me as a “Free Spirit”. I’m actually very comfortable with that description, it allows me to be different, eclectic, unusual and sometimes even strange and still fall within the normal parameters acceptable to today’s society. I have found, through many years of experience that the Universe has a plan for all of us, and that life is much easier if we choose to flow with that plan as it presents itself to us in everyday life. Never having been one to flow easily with the “unseen”, I have been dragged kicking and yes, sometimes even screaming, along my pathway that, they tell me, I had a part in creating. If you had told me in the late 1980’s that I would be an internationally known psychic, Spiritual Empath, lecturer, artist, and ordained Minister I

 would have referred you to the closest shrink and offered to give you car fare. Edgar Cayce has often been referred to as “The Sleeping Prophet” and, though not in the same league by any stretch of the imagination, I guess you could call me the reluctant psychic.

By the late 1980’s I was a single mother (fresh from my second divorce), a Special Education teacher with twenty odd years of experience, had two masters’ degrees, and was caring for one young son and my elderly mother. At that time in my life I was, along with countless others, seeking a spiritual pathway and an explanation for life as we know it. I joined a spiritual development class, hungry for enlightenment and secret wisdoms, magic and the doorway to the Unknown. I was fortunate in that I found a remarkable teacher who led a group of us to the brink of all of the above and then made us work for the rest. It was fun and very frustrating and the best experience of its kind ever. He gave assignments that pulled creativity from us and we never suspected, not one of us, ever, that creativity was the key to opening us to the spiritual realms we so eagerly sought. To be truthful, at the time, none of us had a clue … but now, years and years later, it has all crystallized and makes absolute sense.
 

One of our assignments was to create a Mandala for a classmate. Who knew that later I would use that assignment as the basis for creating a deck of cards that is now used around the world and has given me experiences I never would have otherwise had. The deck, The Cosmic Deck of Initiation, opened the world to me and stretched me in ways I’m still recovering from. It became a tool for enlightenment and wisdom – a channel that continues to amaze me years and years later. It is a light energy tool, one that was created out of my belief that there is positive in everything and that we grow through the lessons and hurdles that life, or destiny, puts in our way.

The spiritual class and the creative tools that it opened me to changed my life forever. I have found that the more sensitive I am to myself, the greater my insight is into others. By learning to trust the Universe and set aside my ego, I allow my higher consciousness to touch reality and give me insight into myself and others. Setting aside the ego is one of the most difficult lessons one can accomplish -- that and the fact that you have to walk your talk or no one listens to you. The lessons that the creative energies open me to are ever enlightening and give me constant ‘ah-ha’ moments. This evolutionary process is endless! Every time I think I’ve finally arrived - reality lets me know I’m back to square one but on a new level of awareness - a bit frustrating but never boring. I am constantly growing from my experiences and the people that are drawn to my energy. Each time I am asked to do something that I’ve never before considered, I know another stretch is about to begin and often wonder what new horizons will be opened because of it.

I’m not usually prepared for the changes, which makes the journey even more interesting. Thankfully the Universe seems to have a sense of humor, and the challenges it presents to me, while usually a bit uncomfortable, are always survivable. I was never comfortable speaking in front of large crowds of people and the more I complained, the larger the crowds grew. Then there was doing radio and television, and once again I found the Universe was pushing me into areas I had never dreamed of. There was fun too -- I was able to meet famous people that I never would have come into contact with had I stayed in the classroom. I have worked with politicians, actors, directors, corporate executives, and some other very famous people who it has been an honor to meet. Of course to mention their names would lose me great clients, so just take my word for it. I have traveled all over the country promoting the cards, and spent years on the road appearing in bookstores from coast to coast and everywhere in-between. I’m even listed in Hans Holzer’s book, The Psychic Yellow Pages; The Very Best Psychics, Card Readers, Mediums, Astrologers, and Numerologists.
